Joint this tour to the magnificent American southwest to the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On our way, we'll visit Mud Island Museum,complete with steamships, Civil War and American Indian artefacts; the Fort Worth Stockyards, and the Canton First Monday Trade Days,one of the country's largest flea market and cattle trading meets. We'll stop in Dallas to see the bronze Mustang Sculpture created as a memorial to the heritage of Texas. We have free time in the historic district of Grapevine, filled with antique shops, art galleries, wineries and restaurants.

At Carlsbad Caverns, we'll tour this spectacular cavern, and enjoy the inimitable Bat Flight, where the bats all depart the cave in a stream - incredible! We'll stop at White Sands National Park, and take the time to play in the sand. The small Mexican town of La Mesilla will delight you with its artisan treasures and historic buildings (Billy the Kid was held in the jail here).

In Albuquerque, we'll take the Tramway to the top of Sandia Peak, and savor a fabulous dinner in High Finance Restaurant (for those who can't take the tram, dinner will be served in the SanDiago's Restaurant at the foot of the tram). The unique experience of watching the expanding balloons is totally incredible, and we'll attend the Balloon Fiesta on two mornings - one with Shaped Balloons Ascension, and one with the Mass Ascension - and one evening to view the Moon Glow and fireworks. We'll spend free time in the historic districts of both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

We'll enjoy the scenery as we drive through the Grand Canyon of Texas - Palo Duro Canyon.
